Elena Marzina

Elena Marzina is a junior pursuing the Architectural Studies major and Studio Arts minor. Elena has always been interested in design and has found the Architectural Studies program at Pitt to be a great fit for her.

Gene Han

Gene Han is a junior majoring in Architectural Studies and minoring in Studio Arts. Currently he is pursuing the B.S. Arch – taking Honors Studio 3 and courses at CMU.  Being within the realms of the city of brotherly love (Philadelphia), Gene fell in love with the ideologies of urban design and intricate detailing of immense structures.

Manisha Van Ecka

Manisha Van Ecka is a senior in the architectural studies program, minoring in studio arts. She grew up in Oak Park, right outside of Chicago, and there she was inspired by design. Manisha’s design intentions are currently driven by community development and preservation in an urban setting.

Anna Kate Payha

Anna Kate Payha is a sophomore pursuing a major in Architecture with a minor in Studio Arts. When she started at Pitt, she didn't know what she wanted to study, but after taking Approaches to the Built Environment and Foundations Studio Anna Kate found that architecture is her passion. This summer she is interning at a firm in Portugal to explore her interests and broaden her experience.

Patrick Pendergast

Patrick Pendergast is a junior at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in the design track of the Architectural Studies program, and minoring in Studio Arts. Patrick grew up in the small town of Wyomissing, PA, where he discovered his interest in the built environment.

Ilana McAfoos

Ilana McAfoos is currently a senior in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. She will be graduating with a B.A in Anthropology with a minor in Museum Studies and a certificate in American Sign Language.

Juliane O’Day

Juliane O’Day is a senior, majoring in Architectural Studies. Over the summer, she worked as an intern architect at Front Studio Architects, a Pittsburgh-based firm. Juliane is currently enrolled in Honors Design Studio 3, where she and her studio partner are working on a sustainable, affordable housing development for Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood.
