Ben Tushar

Ben Tushar is an Architectural Studies major with a minor in Studio Arts, and is set to graduate in April, 2018. Ben came to Pitt as an Engineer, with a strong passion and background for developing and building things to solve problems. After being underwhelmed with the amount of physical creation in Engineering, Ben switched to Architectural Studies, with great success. Ben has been involved in multiple extracurricular groups at Pitt, including the American Institute of Architecture Students, the National Society for Leadership and Success, and the Pitt Intercollegiate Snowboard Team. Ben also serves as the Pitt Campus General for SOL Republic Headphones, and spent his summer of 2017 interning at WD Partners, a retail architecture firm in Columbus, Ohio, working for major clients such as Red Bull, Target, Dave and Busters, Shake Shack, and many more. After graduating, Ben plans to find a job in the design field and is currently applying to careers in industries ranging from architecture and product design, to special effects and video game development.

At HAAARCH!!!, Ben is presenting his Design Studio One project, which brings together his interests in architecture and art, using folding architecture to create a community gallery and education center to revitalize the community of Hazelwood.
