Catherine Battipaglia

Catherine Battipaglia is currently a junior majoring in Architectural Studies while also pursuing a minor in Studio Arts.  While growing up in Long Island, New York Catherine’s fascination for art and architecture began when she was just a young girl visiting New York City with her family.  She was in awe of the amazing designs of the skyscrapers and the beautiful detailing of the architecture throughout the city.  Now, over a decade later, that early fascination has truly blossomed while she has been studying architecture at the University of Pittsburgh.

Catherine’s recent study abroad experience in Florence, Italy, this past fall as well as touring many different countries in Europe, allowed her to develop a truly global perspective and appreciation of architecture.  She hopes to continue to cultivate her interests with an internship in architecture or interior design in New York City this summer, and after graduation plans to pursue a graduate degree in architecture.

At HAAARCH!!! 2018, Catherine will be presenting her Foundations Studio final project.
